Logical Indigenous Insertion (Lii)

Proposal

Logical Indigenous Insertion (Lii) is a practice in which local Indigenous knowledge is inserted into existing curriculum through “Indigenous Moments” (IMs). Examples of how to logically insert Indigenous knowledge will be available via one minute video clips and categorized by subject/unit. Educators will be able to access the IMs online and then create their own IMs using traditional knowledge from their territory. Lii will be cross-curricular using a seasonal theme that each department can participate in. Lii will assist in implementing the new curriculum and the First Nations Principles of Learning.
